Dear Friends,

June turned out to be a month full of new adventures! I had so many creative interactions with friends and music lovers from across the world virtually. These moments are very precious and valuable to me as a human and musician. Here are some highlights, as we head into July ~

Hope Online Charity Concert

On June 20, I performed a Liszt recital for the Hope Online Charity Concert. The reception was so overwhelmingly beautiful that this stands out as my highlight moment since the pandemic started. Organically, the concert reached over 140,000 people and has been viewed 53,000 times on Facebook alone. I received more than 1,100 comments with full support and love from the audience. And I have been informed that $27,000 USD was raised from this concert, and the full amount has been donated to youth educational charities!

Thank you for participating and sharing this special moment with me! The generosity and positivity from everyone is so heartwarming, especially during this challenging time worldwide! 💖

Collaboration with Pianist Magazine

Also a delightful moment in June, I collaborated with the Pianist Magazine in an encore program selected by the audience. In this livestream performance, the audience picked my program! This interactive collaboration was very enjoyable. A tour in Italy is now being planned for the 2021-2022 season. I am excited to work with this wonderful team of highly experienced artist managers, and I can’t wait to perform for the passionate music lovers in this beautiful country!

2020 PYPA Online Piano Festival

When the pandemic started in the US and concerts were cancelled one after another, our team at the PYPA Piano Festival had to make a difficult decision whether or not to cancel this year’s festival. Instead of cancelling, we moved the festival online. And the result has been absolutely amazing! We have just concluded our application selection and chose 25 talented young pianists from Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Taiwan, Vietnam, and 11 States across the United States. Working with seven time zones worldwide, we are able to be creative and stretch a day into as much as 41 hours! (from Australia time to US Pacific timezone). There will be 128 hours of master classes, lectures, studio concerts and the PYPA Livestream Performance Awards, All Open to the General Public Virtually! Join us August 1 – 9 for an intensive 9 days of music-making with our world renowned faculty and the piano stars of tomorrow. Find out more and purchase your tickets now at https://pypa.info/events/! As we head into July, I hope that you are staying well and keeping the spirits up. I can’t wait to see you again in real life, and especially on a concert stage soon!

Sincerely yours,
