Ching-Yun’s Four Classical Seasons
Chopin in Autumn

My love for Chopin’s music began when I was a child.
It accompanied me through years of searching.
His music comforted me when I was alone as a 14 year girl,
first arriving in a foreign country to study, where I later made my home.

I will always remember my first trip to Europe when I was seventeen,
performing an all Chopin recital at the oldest Chopin festival in Duszniki Zdrój, Poland.
That experience left such an impression in me,
of the love and passion that Chopin inspired
and continues to pass on for generations to come.

His music, full of nuances and nobility, continues to be so close to my heart.
When I play Chopin,
you hear the deepest thoughts in my soul.
